School children had a narrow escape this morning when an RTV vehicle carrying them collided with a loading truck in outer Delhi's Bawana area, police said.

The accident occurred around 8.30 AM when the RTV ferrying about seven students of Akash Public School collided with a loading truck near the Ganga Toli Temple roundabout, a senior police officer said.

A few students sustained minor injuries and were discharged after receiving first-aid, he said.

Both the errant drivers have been booked, police said.

This is the second incident in two days in which a vehicle ferrying school children met with an accident.

Yesterday, a tempo traveller rammed into a footpath in central Delhi's Patel Nagar area, killing the driver and injuring six kids, after the driver tried to apply brakes to avert a collision with an over-speeding bike.

The students escaped the incident with minor injuries.
