Somany Ceramics today reported a 45.59 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 20.18 crore for the third quarter ended on December 31, 2016.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 13.86 crore in the October-December period a year ago, Somany Ceramics said in a BSE filing.
Its total income from operations during the quarter under review was up 1.56 per cent to Rs 438.73 crore as against Rs 431.99 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Its total expenses during quarter were marginally down 0.28 per cent to Rs 406.42 crore compared with Rs 407.60 crore in the same period last fiscal, the company added.
Shares of Somany today settled at Rs 600.80 apiece, up 7.48 per cent from the previous close.
