A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man at gunpoint, following which he has been arrested, police said today.
According to the FIR filed by the victim's family, the accused Ayub, 32, kidnapped the girl late on Monday night and took her to the local Community Hall here where he raped her at gunpoint, acting in-charge of Hastinapur police station, Rajbir Singh said.
The accused threatened to kill the victim if she reveals the incident to anyone, he said.
However, the girl told her family about the incident following which the FIR was filed today, Singh said, adding, that the matter is being investigated.
