Partial withdrawal of AFSPA from some parts of Jammu and Kashmir and infrastructure restoration post-floods are some of the issues that are likely to come up for discussion at a civil-military liaison meeting here on Tuesday.

"Army commander of Western Command Lt Gen K J Singh will arrive in Jammu on March 17," a senior official told PTI.

He will hold talks with senior government officials at the meeting on varied issues including AFSPA, the official said.

This is the first such meeting convened following a directive by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to Chief Secretary at the Unified Command meeting on March 12.

It is likely that AFSPA and its partial withdrawal from Kathua and Samba districts would come up for discussion.

The commander would oversee the measures taken to build infrastructure post floods in the region, the official said adding he is likely to visit Northern Command at Udhampur too.
