A 55-year old tribal woman and her two grand daughters have died of food poisoning at Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM)hospital here, hospital sources said today.
Basanti Debbarma (55), her two granddaughters - Shristi(7) and Maxi(9) died on Friday, the sources said adding her two two daughters, who were also affected, are being treated at IGM hospital, the sources said.
The five fell ill after eating wild potatoes on Tuesday night and were admitted to a rural hospital at Nagicherra, near their house in West Tripura district.
They were then referred to IGM hospital on Thursday last where three of them died on Friday night, the sources added.
