Amid pick up in domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil was up 0.72 per cent to Rs 675.95 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants built up fresh positions.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November month rose by Rs 4.85, or 0.72 per cent to Rs 675.95 per 10 kg with an open interest of 49,780 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in December contracts traded higher by Rs 3.65, or 0.54 per cent to Rs 682.50 per 10 kg in 57,850 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to uptick in demand in the spot market against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing regions mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
