Uttar Pradesh government has directed all district magistrates to organise Vidyalaya Utsav along with School Chalo Abhiyan on March 30.
Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan also told them to convene a meeting of district education committees on March 21 and March 22 to make a strategy for the event.
Fairs, seminars, discussions, rallies and cultural programmes should be organised in schools at district, block, village and ward levels as part of the Utsav, he said.
Ranjan directed all district and block level officials along with Nayab Tehsildar, Lekhpals, Gram Panchayat Officers to be present at schools during the Utsav.
People's representatives should also be requested to do the same and help in enrolment of out-of-school children, he said.
