Acc In Limelight

ACC hogged the limelight for the second consecutive day on the Calcutta stock exchange (CSE) yesterday. The other strong counter was Hindustan Lever which saw active interest induced by encouraging corporate reports. RIL too met with buyers interest well above Tuesdays closing rates in early dealings, but failed to hold on due to profit-taking at the close.

In other scrips counters changes were limited with some ending below the previous close . Turnover was higher at Rs 813.33 crore and undertone steady. The CSE-50 share index closed at 119.56 points losing 0.77 points. RIL was active with Rs 354.35 crore worth shares traded, followed closely by the SBI, ITC, Telco and ACC.

 

In the specified list, ACC finished at Rs 1308 and HLL at Rs 1,345, RIL at Rs 363.90, ITC at Rs 493.50 and SBI at Rs 325. Tisco at Rs 188, L&T at Rs 239, and Telco at Rs 450.10.
