Bomb Hoax At Cse

The officials informed the West Bengal police headquarters at Lalbazar, which is at a stone throw distance, in no time.
The bomb squad conducted extensive search operations beginning 11 am, but found nothing.
In the process, nearly hundred brokers, stationed in the contingency pool of the exchange, were evicted to make room for the search. Otherwise, the trading activity on the bourse was normal.

Incidentally, such hoaxes have become a routine affair every year around August-September, prior to the general elections.
A section of the brokers described it as a deliberate attempt of some detractors to "grab publicity" before the elections, to be conducted in mid-September.
However, the police failed to detect the source of the rumour.
