Petronet Proposes 400 Cng Stations Across Karnataka

Petronet, a consortium of oil and energy public-sector undertakings, is planning to set up CNG cylinder filling stations across Karnataka at a cost of around Rs 400 crore.
A state government official said that Petronet has been asked to send a detailed report on the project. He said Petronet wants to set up around 400 stations across the state and each facility is expected to cost around Rs 80 lakh.
Petronet's plan follows a recent high-level meeting between the state government and company officials to extend the gas pipeline being laid between Kochi and Kasargod to Bangalore.
