Q1 Net Up 34.3%

Britannia Industries Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 8.6 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year compared with Rs 6.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year -- posting a 34.3 per cent rise. Net sales during the period under review increased 26.8 per cent to Rs 234.8 crore as against Rs 185.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
