The wholesale debt market of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) saw deals to the tune of Rs 299.58 crore.
It was also a reporting Friday for banks. Among the securities to be actively traded were the 13.40-per cent gilt, the 364-day and the 91-day treasury bills.

The 13.40-per cent gilt maturing in 1999 saw a cumulative deal to the tune of Rs 30 crore. These are to be settled after one day.
Another transaction, to be settled the same day, was concluded for Rs 5 crore in the same security.
The zero-coupon security maturing in 2000 was traded for Rs 10 crore at a price of Rs 63.52. The deal, to be settled after one day, was wrapped up at a yield of 13.30 per cent. Another deal was struck in the zero-coupon security (C series) maturing in 2000 for Rs 10 crore at Rs 63.48.
The newly issued 364-day treasury bill maturing on January 2 was traded for Rs 55 crore at 10.44 per cent.
The trade, to be settled after one day, was concluded at a yield of 10.44 per cent. The price on the paper was Rs 90.59.
The 364-day treasury bill maturing on December 5 was dealt for Rs 12 crore at 10.30 per cent.
The 91-day treasury bill maturing on March 29 drew Rs 10 crore at a yield of 8.25 per cent.
