BS Reporter Mumbai/ Ahmedabad
eInfochips has announced the formation of a software business unit, called ennovate Technologies.

The software division will look to leverage its domain expertise in the software technology, collaboration, healthcare and web applications to address customer needs for development and maintenance.

ennovate Technologies will address the complete software development cycle through its expertise on databases, application servers, user interface, web servers, client server and testing tools.

It will enable ennovate Technologies in addressing key IT services areas like web-based application, client server applications, multi-tier architectures, knowledge management systems and enterprise applications.

ennovate's India offshore development centre and testing labs will help reduce customers' cost and time to market.

ennovate Technologies has appointed Nitin Deshpande to head the operations. Deshpande has been instrumental in starting business operations for several Indian outsourcing companies and established their outsourcing practice across Asia and USA.

"As eInfochips developed a strong software portfolio to meet the pressure to maintain competitive time-to-market, it also became evident that the division had become a strong revenue stream on its own, attracting customers purely for software solutions. It, therefore, made huge sense to spin off a division that would cater to the demand for solutions that understood the interdependence between chip design and software. Further, this not only expands our potential customer base, we will be able to capture new companies in the software domain outsourcing to India," said Pratul Shroff, President and CEO of eInfochips Ltd.

"By escalating our presence in USA we plan to win and increase our customer base and achieve a 50 per cent YoY growth." Shroff added.
