Reliance Info launches new FWP plan

Reliance Infocomm today announced a special tariff structure for its
pre-paid, fixed wireless phone (FWP) subscribers in the metropolitan
cities by slashing existing rates by 33%.

S P Shukla, president (wireless products and services) of Reliance Infocomm, said the company has increased the pulse rate to 90 seconds per call from the existing 60 seconds for calls made from FWPs to non-Reliance mobiles.

"With this, the new effective rate per minute is 73 paise from the earlier Rs 1.10 - an effective reduction of 33%," he said.

Calls from Reliance FWP to all Reliance phones are free under various pre-paid schemes, he added.

Reliance Infocomm has also introduced a special tariff for calls from FWP to fixed lines between Mumbai and Delhi.

The company has introduced a new rate of Rs 1.90 with an increased pulse rate of 60 seconds as against the old rate of Rs 1.10 with a 30-second pulse.
