Sabeer Bhatia to launch new product

Hotmail.com co-founder Sabeer Bhatia today said he would launch a new product soon in the online space that would surpass the success of Hotmail.com.

"It is going to be a product that is even bigger than Hotmail. The product is in the online space and is targeted at mass use," he told reporters on the sidelines of a Nasscom Annual Product Conclave here.

Refusing to name the product, he said, "all the work on this product has been done in India and a team of less than 100 has worked on this product".

The product launch would be announced in Mumbai in the next two days, he said, adding that the product is a global one targeting $20 billion market per year.
