STD on Airtel at Re 1 in UP (East)

On the occasion of completing two years of services in Uttar Pradesh (East), Airtel today announced facilities for customers including STD at Re 1 a minute, the "Do crore ki barsat" offer, and other packages.

Talking to the media Bharti Airtel Ltd UP (East) Mobility Chief Operating Officer Shanker Prasad said the growth of Airtel's network in UP (East) circle was much more than expected. In two years the achievements were more than 136 per cent of the target.

He said the number of customers in the circle was now close to a million. In the "Do crore ki barsat" offer, randomly selected prepaid customers can get a maximum talk value of Rs 1 lakh on recharging their mobile phones with any Airtel recharge coupon till October 5.

The company will get Rs 2 crore from the scheme. Prasad said a customer could make STD calls at Re 1 a minute and the offer was valid till September 30.
