Aaron Finch

Aaron Finch is one of the 15 players who have been named in the Australia squad to play the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales. Aaron Finch, who made his one-day international debut on 11-Jan-13, had played 109 ODI matches until the 2019 World Cup. In the 105 innings he batted in, he had scored a total of 4052 runs, having faced 4596 balls, at an average of 39.34 and a strike rate of 88.16. He was unbeaten in 2 of those innings. His highest score in an innings was 153*. He had 13 centuries and 21 half-centuries to his name. In the bowling department, Aaron Finch had bowled 248 balls and taken 3 wickets while conceding a total of 219 runs. He had an average of 73 and an economy rate of 5.3. His best ODI bowling performance was 1/2.

Finch is the captain of the Australian cricket team in limited-overs cricket. He currently holds the record for two of the three highest individual scores in Twenty20 Internationals, with his score of 172 against Zimbabwe in July 2018 beating his previous record of 156 against England in 2013. His score stands as the highest individual score of all time in T20Is and also the second-highest individual score across all forms of T20s. He beat his own previous record of 156 and also the highest individual T20I score by an opener. His knock of 172 is also the highest individual score set by a captain in a T20I innings. This record was previously held by Shane Watson and Finch also went on to become the only batsman to score 2 T20I 150+ scores in T20I cricket.
Test career
In September 2018, he made his Test debut for Australia against Pakistan. Finch has played 5 Test matches for Australia and scored 278 runs at an average of 27.8, with two half centuries.
ODI career
Finch made his first ODI appearance on 11 January 2013 against Sri Lanka. A top-order batsman and the fastest Australian to reach 10 ODI centuries, Finch also holds the record of joint-fastest half-century by an Australian in ODIs — 50 runs off 18 balls. Finch was also part of Australia's 2015 Cricket World Cup squad. He had smashed 135 runs in his maiden World Cup match against England for which he had won man of the match award. In March 2019, he became the 29th Australian player to play 100 ODI matches. In April 2019, he was named the captain of Australia's squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

T20I career
Finch played his first T20 International against England on 12 January 2011. On 29 August 2013, Finch made the highest ever T20I individual score, when he scored 156 runs off 63 balls for Australia against England, surpassing Brendon Mc Cullum's record of 123 runs.
On 20 December 2015, Finch became the first player to score 1,000 runs in the Big Bash League. In July 2018, he became the first player in T20Is to reach the 900 rating mark on the official T20I rankings. Finch was the second-fastest to score 1000 runs in T20I history, in 29 innings, just behind India’s Virat Kohli and was also the fastest Australian to achieve this feat.
IPL career
Finch was first drafted into the Rajasthan Royals squad in 2010. He was picked up by the Delhi Daredevils IPL franchise in the 2011 IPL Player auction. He continued with them for two seasons and was later picked up by Pune Warriors India in 2013. In 2014, he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Finch was bought by Mumbai Indians in the 2015 season, but he couldn't play for the team due to injury. In 2016, he was bought by Gujarat Lions and in 2018 by Kings Xi Punjab. He was released by KXIP at the end of the season. He opted out of IPL 2019 so that he could prepare for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
