NBCC Q3 profit rises 26 pc to Rs 77.74 cr

State-owned firm NBCC (India) Ltd has reported a 26 per cent increase in its profit to Rs 77.74 crore for the third quarter of this fiscal. It had posted a profit of 61.89 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement Thursday. The total standalone income from operations for the December 2018 quarter stood at Rs 1,651.62 crore, compared wih Rs 1,321.50 crore in the year-ago period, registering a total growth of 24.98 per cent. During the April-December 2018 period, total income from operations grew by 30.81 per cent over the corresponding period last year. NBCC Managing Director Anoop Kumar Mittal said: "We began the new financial year with a target of minimum 30 per cent growth in topline in all our business verticals. Our performance so far this year has been in that line. There are several projects in pipeline which are now getting matured." GSK Consumer profit rises 35 pc to Rs 221.06 crore in Dec quarter

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare Ltd Thursday reported a 35.07 per cent increase in its standalone profit to Rs 221.06 crore for the quarter ended December 2018. It had posted a profit of Rs 163.66 crore for the October-December period a year ago. The company's total income stood at Rs 1,241.07 crore, up 12.82 per cent, as against Rs 1,100.02 crore in the year-ago period, GSK Consumer Healthcare said in a BSE filing. "We have been witnessing healthy sustainable growth in our financial performance in the past few quarters. This growth is reflective of the unflinching trust that our consumers have in our products," GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Managing Director Navneet Saluja said. On December 3, 2018, the company had announced divestment of Horlicks and other consumer healthcare nutrition brands to Unilever plc and the merger of GSK Consumer Healthcare with Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL). Jet Airways Q3 net loss at Rs 587.77 cr

Struggling carrier Jet Airways Thursday reported a standalone net loss of Rs 587.77 crore for the third quarter ended December 31. The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 165.25 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal, Jet Airways said in a regulatory filing. The carrier said revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 6,147.98 crore as against Rs 6,086.20 crore in the year-ago period. Total expenses in the third quarter shot up to Rs 6,786.15 crore as compared to Rs 6,042.58 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, it added. Aircraft fuel expenses stood at Rs 2,387.72 crore as compared to Rs 1,840.08 crore in the corresponding period last year, while aircraft and engines lease rentals were at Rs 730.35 crore as against Rs 583.67 crore. Domestic revenue stood at Rs 2,560.44 crore, down from Rs 2,749.05 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, while the same for international operations was also down to Rs 3,587.54 crore as against Rs 3,337.15 crore, .
