94% senior executives see rising career mobility, open to new jobs: Report

As India's senior leadership landscape undergoes a rapid change, 94 per cent of executives are open to explore new career opportunities, driven by aspirations for faster career progression, a report said on Wednesday. According to Page Executive India, part of Michael Page India, Executive Compensation and Talent Trends Report, India's senior leadership landscape is becoming increasingly dynamic. Executives are seeking faster career progression, broader responsibilities and greater opportunities for impact, even as organisations face growing pressure to keep pace, said the report based on a survey of over 1,200 C-level executives and senior leaders in the country. The study by Page Executive India, an executive search and senior leadership recruitment company, showed that 94 per cent of senior leaders are open to new opportunities, while 63 per cent are actively looking for a new role and 41 per cent do not expect to remain in their current position for more than a year. 74% Gen Z Indians prefer work-life balance over leadership titles: Report

Seventy-four per cent of Gen Z Indians prioritise work-life balance over formal leadership titles, while at least 65 per cent believe a successful career does not require becoming an executive leader, according to a new report. The report, titled "India's Gen Z Outlook 2026: Recalculating Education, Ambition, and Success; The No Cap Generation", has been published by global education company Emeritus. It is based on a survey of 1,010 respondents aged 15-28 across three life stages -- pre-college, transitioning and early career -- in major Indian metros. The report examines how young Indians are reassessing traditional pathways in higher education, skills and careers amid visa uncertainty, rising overseas costs and the rise of AI.
