Tata Power on Friday posted over 6 per cent on-year rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,262 crore in June quarter mainly due to higher revenues from the renewable as well as transmission and distribution business. The company had a net profit of Rs 1,189 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2024, a statement stated. Its revenue rose to Rs 17,464 crore in the quarter, from Rs 16,810 crore in the same period a year ago. "We have commenced FY26 on a high note, with strong performance across all our business verticals. City Union Bank on Thursday reported a 16 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 306 crore during the first quarter of this financial year. The private sector lender had earned a net profit of Rs 264 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. The total income rose to Rs 1,849 crore during the June quarter of 2025-26, from Rs 1,580 crore in the same quarter of FY25, the Tamil Nadu-based bank said in a regulatory filing. Interest earned by the bank improved to Rs 1,605 crore, as compared to Rs 1,388 crore in the June quarter of FY25. During the period, operating profit of the bank increased to Rs 451 crore, as compared to Rs 373 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Mankind Pharma on Thursday reported a 17 per cent decline in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 445 crore for the June quarter. The drug maker posted a PAT of Rs 538 crore for the April-June quarter of the last fiscal year. JSW Energy on Thursday posted over 42 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 743 crore in the June quarter due to renewables capacity additions and contributions from O2 Power and Mahanadi plant. The company posted a net profit of Rs 522 crore in the year-ago period, a statement said. According to the statement, total revenue increased 78 per cent year-on-year to Rs 5,411 crore from Rs 3,043 crore, driven by organic capacity additions and contribution from Mahanadi and O2 Power.
