Melissa McCarthy is the new host of 'Little Big Shot'

Actor-comedienne Melissa McCarthy has been roped in as the new host of NBC's "Little Big Shot". McCarthy replaces Steve Harvey as the host of the talent competition for kids, reported Variety. Harvey has hosted the previous three seasons of the show. "Melissa's just an incredible performer and incredible comedian. She will bring a completely fresh perspective to it," said Paul Telegdy, NBC's co-chairman of entertainment alongside George Cheeks. "Little Big Shots" last aired in July 2018 and is scheduled to return to NBC next winter.

NBC renews 'This is Us' for three more seasons

NBC network has has renewed its popular drama series "This Is Us" for season four, five and six. The time-hopping family drama stars Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia as the parents of three children whose adult versions are played by Sterling K Brown, Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley. The series, which premiered in 2016, has aired 54 episodes to date and the renewal is for 18 episodes per season, reported Deadline. "In a television landscape with nearly 500 original scripted series, there are very few, if any, that have the critical and cultural impact of 'This Is Us' and we couldn't be more proud to bring fans three more seasons of a show that so well represents the NBC brand," said Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, presidents of scripted programming for NBC Entertainment. Fox greenlits second installment of '9-1-1' starring Rob Lowe

Fox has ordered second installment of "9-1-1" with Rob Lowe in lead. Titled, "9-1-1: Lone Star", it will follows a New York cop (Lowe) who, along with his son, re-locates to Austin, Texas, and tries to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable by solving the problems in his own life. According to Variety, Lowe will receive more than USD 200,000 per episode for his role on the show. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear, who co-created "9-1-1", are working on "Lone Star" as well. Vampire Weekend's album tops the Billboard 200 chart

Rock band Vampire Weekend has topped the Billboard 200 chart with its third No. 1 album 'Father of the Bride'.According to The Hollywood Reporter, the band sold approximately 119,000 sets which is the largest for any rock album in 2019.The album was released on May 3 this year by Spring Snow and Columbia Records.Vampire Weekend's last two hits on Billboard 200 were 'Modern Vampires of the city' and 'Contra' in the year 2013 and 2010 respectively.Other than Vampire Weekend, Billie Eilish's 'When we fall asleep' and 'Where do we go' climbed from fourth to the second number, whereas Khalid's 'Free spirit' rose from fifth to the third position.The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums from the US on a multi-metric consumption basis.

'Real Housewives of Miami' actor Elsa Patton passed away at the age of 84."Our beloved Elsa Patton (AKA Mama Elsa) passed away over Mother's Day weekend after a long illness. She was surrounded by her family and close friends. Elsa was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Donald Patton who passed away last February of 2018," Fox News quoted Elsa's family as saying to local media.Patton gained recognition from the American reality television series 'Real Housewives of Miami'. London Indian Film Festival marks 10th anniversary, Ayushmann's 'Article 15' opening film

The annual London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) announced its 10th anniversary line-up on Sunday, with the world premiere of Anubhav Sinha's "Article 15" opening the gala on June 20.
