Aahana Kumra has spent days wondering when would stage artistes get the validation they deserve but today she considers herself fortunate that due to digital platforms, actors like her do not have to beg for work or be bitter that stars kids get it easy. The "Lipstick Under My Burkha" actor did theatre for more than a decade before venturing into TV series, films and digital platforms. While the actor always craved for validation as a stage artistes, the situations has changed today. "The best part about what's happening right now, for actors like me, is that we have a great platform like the internet, through which our work is reaching across. I don't have to beg for work anymore," Aahana told PTI. "There was a time I used to think, instead of taking so many auditions, can't they just come and watch our play? Actor Colin Hanks has confirmed that he will be coming back for the sequel of the hit adventure film, "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle". The 41-year-old actor played adult version of the character Alex Vreeke, who is stranded in the world of the Jumanji until he is saved by four teenagers who also get stuck in the game. Anne Hathaway initially didn't want to speak in British accent 'The Hustle'

Actor Anne Hathaway says she was initially not sure about the idea that her character in upcoming comedy "The Hustle" has a British accent. The Chris Addison-directed film features Hathaway and actor Rebel Wilson as two women who seek revenge against men who have tricked them in the past. It is a remake of 1988 comedy "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", which was itself inspired by the 1964 film "Bedtime Story". Hathaway, 36, who appeared on "Good Morning America", said her character is of British origin, something which was done against her "will". "I didn't want to do it. Disney announces more 'Star Wars' films, pushes 'Avatar' sequels

Disney has announced its future slate of films, which has postponed James Cameron "Avatar" movies and announced a new trio of untitled "Star Wars" entries. According to Variety, this is another push for Cameron's long-awaited and oft-delayed follow-up to "Avatar" series. "Avatar 2" will hit theatres on December 17, 2021 instead of December 18, 2020 as originally scheduled. This simultaneously delays three sequels -- "Avatar 3" is now slated to be released on December 22, 2023 instead of December 17, 2021; "Avatar 4" will debut on December 19, 2025 as opposed to December 20, 2024 and "Avatar 5" will open on December 17, 2027. Young writers, Urdu veterans dominate Hindi bestseller list

Urdu veterans in poetry and emerging writers in fiction category dominated a recently released list of Hindi bestsellers. The Dainik Jagran and Nielsen Bookscan Bestseller list included 10 books each in four categories -- Fiction, Non-fiction, Poetry, and Translation. "The list offers the best-selling books between January 2019 to March 2019 quarter from the Hindi bestseller list," the organisation said. Among the books that made it to the fiction bestseller list include three of writer Satya Vyas -- "Banaras Talkies", "Chaurasi" and "Dilli Darbar" and two of Nilotpal Mrinal -- "Aughad" and "Dark Horse: Ek Ankahi Dastan". Mackenzie Foy, Kate Winslet to headline new 'Black Beauty' film

"Interstellar" star Mackenzie Foy and Oscar winner Kate Winslet are set to play the leads in the latest film adaptation of classic novel "Black Beauty". The novel, penned by English author Anna Anna Sewell in 1877, is one of the best-selling children's book of all time. The story follows the titular wild horse and its bond with a 17-year-old girl, undergoing trauma after the death of her parents. In a significant departure from the novel, where Black Beauty is shown as a carriage horse, the new film will portray the character as a wild mustang captured on the Wyoming Plains. Foy, 18, will essay the role of the 17-year-old girl, while Winslet, 43, will voice Black Beauty's inner thoughts.
