Producer Raj Kumar Barjatya passes away

Raj Kumar Barjatya, the father of filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya and producer of films such as "Hum Aapke Hain Koun", "Hum Saath-Saath Hain" and "Vivaah", passed away on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest. The 75-year-old breathed his last at Sir H. N Reliance Foundation, an official from Rajshri productions told PTI. The official Twitter of the banner also confirmed the death of Raj Kumar Barjatya. "It is with profound grief that we mourn the loss of Raj Kumar Barjatya, father of Sooraj Barjatya. May his soul Rest In Peace," read the tweet from the banner. Raj Kumar Barjatya is survived by his wife Sudha Barjatya and son Sooraj Barjatya. He worked in the industry as a producer and mostly backed films which were directed by his son Sooraj. The banner was founded by Raj Kumar Barjatya's father Tarachand Barjatya. The production house has backed many critically-acclaimed films such as "Dosti", "Tapasya ", "Saaransh" and others.

Saudi artists steal the show at cultural exhibition in New Delhi

Aiming to provide a glimpse into the culture and tradition of Saudi Arabia, a non-profit established by the Gulf kingdom's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, organised a cultural exhibition in New Delhi to coincide with his visit to India. National Award winning filmmaker Vibha Bakshi has collaborated with United Nations Women for her next film "Son Rise", which talks about gender equality. The film was unveiled by United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, a press release said. Following the success of her previous film, "Daughters of Mother India", Bakshi through the documentary talks about building a safe society where men take it on themselves to stand up against atrocities and biases against girls and women. The film is set in Haryana and focuses on unsung heroes standing up for the cause of gender equality. Emma Thompson leaves Skydance's 'Luck' after studio hires John Lasseter

Veteran actor Emma Thompson has exited the voice cast of Skydance's animated feature "Luck" after the studio hired #MeToo accused John Lasseter. Lasseter, the former chief of Disney animation, was hired to lead animation at Skydance by its CEO David Ellison, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He had quit Disney in June last year after acknowledging that he had made the company's staff feel "disrespected or uncomfortable" with unwanted hugs. Thompson, who had not yet started working on "Luck", quietly left the project because of concerns about working with Lasseter. To be directed by Alessandro Carloni, the animated feature is set in a world about two opposing forces that control destiny, good luck, and bad luck. The film is set for release in 2021. Skydance Animation has not yet reacted on Thompson's departure from the project.

N Korea's US envoy arrives in Hanoi ahead of Trump-Kim summit

Pyongyang's special representative for the US Kim Hyok Chol arrived in Hanoi on Wednesday with a North Korean delegation, an AFP reporter and source confirmed, ahead of a summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un next week. YouTube's three-strike system you should know if your content violates policies

YouTube has announced a simpler three-strike system for content creators who post stuff that is in violation of the platform's community guidelines.In a blog post, YouTube outlined these changes, explaining that starting February 25, all channels will receive a one-time warning the first time they post content that is in violation. There will be no penalties to their channel, except for removal of the content in question.The first strike will prevent you from uploading any new content to YouTube, including live streaming, and other channel activities, for one week. Strikes will expire after 90 days.The second strike in any 90-day period will result in two-week ban on the uploading ability, while a third-strike in any 90-day period will result in termination of the channel.YouTube also explains that while most strikes result from videos, it also takes into account all content on the platform, including stories, custom thumbnails, or links to other websites included in a video's ...
