Sunil Bohra buys rights of Ajith Pillai's 'Off The Record'
Producer Sunil Bohra has announced that he has bought the rights of Ajith Pillai's book "Off The Record", which is a collection of unpublished news stories that the author covered during his journalism career. In the book, which has an introduction by late journalist Vinod Mehta, the author has included unpublished stories about some of the most prominent events that occurred in the history of Indian journalism like the Mumbai riots, the Kargil War and the shadows of the Vajpayee era. One of the stories is about the author's interaction with underworld don Chota Shakeel. Bohra, whose producing credits includes films such as "Gangs of Wasseypur", "Shahid", "Shaitan", "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster" and most recently "The Accidental Prime Minister", said he plans to make a film on one of the stories, while developing the rest of the book as a web series. Avicii's posthumous album 'Tim' released
Swedish DJ Avicii's new album titled 'Tim' has been released by Universal Music. The posthumous album is named after the artiste's real name Tim Bergling. The DJ passed away on April 28, 2018 in Oman. Honouring the wishes of Avicii's family, his close friends and collaborators, including Imagine Dragons, Aloe Blacc and more worked on completing the album. It took around a year from his demise to complete the 12-track LP. The album also includes the single "SOS", which released in April 2019. Universal Music UK tweeted, "Honouring the wishes of Avicii's family, @VirginEMI are releasing the music Tim was working on before his passing. The 12- track record 'TIM' continues Avicii's legacy as one of the most beloved and respected figures in music." Researchers have characterised the musical language of German composer and pianist Ludwig van Beethoven for the first time, applying statistical techniques to unlock recurring patterns. Researchers from the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland found that very few chords govern most of the music, a phenomenon that is also known in linguistics, where very few words dominate language. The study, published in the journal PLOS ONE, is based on the set of compositions known as the Beethoven String Quartets. "New state-of-the-art methods in statistics and data science make it possible for us to analyse music in ways that were out of reach for traditional musicology," said Martin Rohrmeier from EPFL.
