NIA files chargesheet against 3 more accused in 2024 Gurugram club bombings

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday filed a chargesheet against three more accused in connection with the 2024 bomb attacks at two Gurugram clubs, allegedly carried out by members of the proscribed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist organisation. Vijay, Ajit Sehrawat, and Vinay have been chargesheeted for their alleged role in planning and conspiring the bombings at the Warehouse Club and Human Club in Sector 29 in Gurugram, Haryana, on December 10 last year. The supplementary chargesheet was filed before an NIA special court in Panchkula, Haryana, an official statement said. The arrested accused were found to be closely associated with foreign-based gangster Randeep Malik and Rohit Godara, a close aide of Canada-based designated terrorist Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar, it said. Tata Realty takes ₹1,280 crore loan from DBS Bank for Gurugram project

Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd has taken a Rs 1,280 crore loan from DBS Bank India for a sustainable commercial project in Gurugram, a statement said. DBS Bank India acted as the sole advisor and green loan coordinator for this transaction. A green loan financing intends to fund or refinance projects that provide environmental benefits. The loan facility has been availed by Tata Realty's special purpose vehicle (SPV), which has developed commercial project 'Intellion Park' in Gurugram. This Grade A office campus has 2.1 million sq ft office spaces. The funds are being deployed towards certified green assets that meet globally recognised sustainability benchmarks. 63K challans for drunk driving issued in Haryana this year, 25K in Gurugram

As many as 63,073 challans have been issued for drunk driving in Haryana so far this year, with Gurugram accounting for nearly 25,000 of them, officials said on Wednesday. According to an official statement, the district-wise data shows the highest number of challans from January 1 till November 24 was issued in Gurugram at 24,972, followed by Faridabad (7,402), Karnal (4,851), Panchkula (4,180), and Jind (3,109). Following instructions issued by the Haryana Police, regular special drives are being conducted across all districts of the state, it said. "The purpose of these drives is not only to curb drunken driving but also to strictly monitor lane driving, noise pollution, and misuse of red-blue lights. After reviewing weekly reports, the police headquarters has directed the districts to make these campaigns even more effective and result-oriented, the statement said. Gurugram Police, Google Maps jointly launch real-time traffic alerts

Google Maps and Gurugram Police have jointly launched a real-time traffic alert system that will warn drivers in advance when approaching accident-prone or hazardous zones, police said on Saturday. The new digital navigation system is currently operational on 129 major roads. It will also display speed limits to encourage drivers to adhere to the prescribed speed regulations. DCP Traffic Rajesh Kumar Mohan said the initiative aims to reduce road accidents and raise awareness about traffic rules. "Accidents often occur when drivers exceed speed limits on busy roads. Lower speeds increase the chances of survival in case of an accident," DCP Mohan said. A senior police officer revealed that the system will be expanded to over 200 roads and major junctions by early next year, covering the entire city under the high-tech alert network. Masked gunmen open fire at real estate company's office in Gurugram

A group of masked gunmen opened fire at a real estate company's office in Sector 45, triggering panic in the area, police said on Friday. They said the assailants fired 25-30 rounds at the office of MNR Buildmark on Thursday night. The bullets pierced windows and glass shards lay scattered at the spot. Police sources said the shooting was carried out on the orders of some gangsters based abroad. Around 9.30 pm on Thursday, four to five masked gunmen entered the office building of MNR Buildmark and fired indiscriminately before escaping, police said. Court seeks reply from Gurugram municipal authorities on waterlogging woes

A court here has issued notices to Gurugram municipal authorities and traffic police on a civil suit filed by two residents over the recent waterlogging and traffic snarls that gave a harrowing time to people, their lawyer said. Civil judge (junior division) Deepak Yadav sought replies from the District Collector, Commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Gurugram and DCP traffic on the plea filed on September 2, advocate Manish Shandilya said.
