L&T bags multiple orders across business verticals in domestic market

Infrastructure company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday said it has received multiple orders across various business segments in the domestic market. The company did not provide the value of the contracts but said the orders fall under the "large" category, which ranges between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore according to its classification of contracts. "The construction arm of L&T has secured orders from prestigious clients for its varied businesses," L&T said in a regulatory filing. The company said its buildings and factories business has won orders from a reputed developer to construct a high rise residential project and an office space in Mumbai. The factories business has received an order from a leading global shipping and logistic company for the design and construction of warehousing logistics park at Mumbai and also secured an order for construction of 4,000 TPD (tonnes per day) capacity clinker plant in Odisha. Infrastructure company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Thursday said its construction arm has received 'significant' orders for its metallurgical and material handling business The company did not provide the value of the contracts, but said the orders fall under the 'significant' category, which ranges between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore according to the classification of contracts. "Metallurgical and Material Handling Business of L&T Construction has secured an order from Northern Coalfields Ltd, a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd (CIL), for a coal processing and load out package to be installed at the Dudhichua Mines located in Uttar Pradesh," L&T said in a regulatory filing. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said its power transmission and distribution business has bagged 'large' contracts in the domestic and international market. The engineering and construction company did not provide the exact value of the contract, but as per its project classification, "large" orders are those valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore. "L&T's power transmission and distribution business has won a prestigious package to establish transmission lines and substations associated with a major infrastructure project in Telangana," the company said in a regulatory filing. The scope of the package involves establishing three new 400 kV substations with reactors, associated bay extensions at connected substations and more than 170 km of 400 kV transmission links, on a turnkey basis, the filing added. Amid the challenges due to COVID-19 pandemic, domestic infrastructure giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said virtual innovations enabled it to honour its job offers and hire 1,297 candidates from institutions like IITs and government colleges.
