GE T&D Q3 results: Net profit jumps 49% to Rs 49.4 cr, revenue up 8%

GE T&D India on Monday posted a steep rise in net profit to Rs 49.4 crore in the December quarter mainly on the back of higher revenues. The company posted an 8 per cent rise in revenue to Rs 840 crore in the quarter, the company said in a release. Profit After Tax was at Rs 49.40 crore, against Rs 4.7 crore in the Quarter Ended (QE) December 2022, the company said. The order bookings were Rs 2,370 crore, up 204 per cent compared to Rs 780 crore in Quarter Ended (QE) December 2022. Kalpataru net profit up by nearly 22% at Rs 140 cr in March quarter

Kalpataru Power Transmission on Monday posted a nearly 22 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 140 crore for the March 2023 quarter, mainly on the back of higher revenues. It had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 115 crore in the year-ago quarter, a BSE filing showed. The total income rose to Rs 4,896 crore in the quarter from Rs 4,169 crore a year ago. For the full 2022-23, its consolidated net profit dipped to Rs 435 crore from Rs 535 crore in the preceding fiscal. The total income in the fiscal under review also rose to Rs 16,401 crore against Rs 14,866 crore. The board in its meeting on Monday also recommended a final dividend of Rs seven per equity share of the face value of Rs two each fully paid up (i.e. 350 per cent) for the financial year ended March 31, 2023, subject to approval by shareholders at ensuing annual general meeting (AGM). L&T's power transmission biz bags significant orders in India, overseas

Homegrown Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday said its power transmission and distribution business has won significant orders in the domestic and overseas markets. The infrastructure major did not disclose the financial details of the projects. However, according to its classification, significant orders value in the range of Rs 1,000-2,000 crore. The power transmission & distribution (PT&D) business of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction has recently secured EPC orders in India and overseas, the firm said in a statement. "The business has secured orders to develop distribution infrastructure in two discom circles of western Rajasthan. It also bagged a power supply system order for the second phase of Chennai Metro. Kalpataru Power Transmission on Monday said it has bagged orders worth Rs 3,185 crore across various business segments in the domestic as well as international market. Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL) and its international subsidiaries have secured new orders/notification of awards of Rs 3,185 crore, a company statement said. These include orders in the T&D (transmission distribution) business of Rs 1,481 crore and EPC (engineering procurement construction) projects in the water business of Rs 1,509 crore, a company statement said. Over 17,000 circuit km of transmission lines installed in 9 yrs: R K Singh

Over 17,000 circuit kilometers of transmission lines were installed in India in the last nine years to strengthen the electricity distribution system, Union Power Minister R K Singh said on Tuesday. He made the remarks while addressing delegates from the West African region at an event organised by the International Solar Alliance (ISA) in collaboration with Grid Controller of India Ltd (Grid-India) and West African Power Pool (WAPP) in the national capital. Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL) on Thursday said it has bagged new orders worth Rs 1,397 crore in the transmission and distribution (T&D) segment. The orders have been secured in India and overseas markets in the T&D business, KPTL said in a statement. "KPTL and its international subsidiaries have secured new orders/notification of awards of Rs 1,397 crores," it said.
