Yellow weather warning issued for snowfall, rain in HP
The meteorological department has issued a fresh yellow weather warning for snowfall, rain in Himachal Pradesh on March 11, an official said Sunday. The Shimla Met centre predicted rain and snowfall in the state from February 11 to 15 but issued yellow warning only for February 11. It stated that snowfall, rain is likely to occur in mid hills and thunderstorm accompanied with hail, gusty winds may take place in low hills, plains of the state on Monday. The Met office issues colour-coded warnings to alert the public ahead of severe or hazardous weather which has the potential to cause "damage, widespread disruption and/or danger to life." Yellow is the least dangerous out of the weather warnings it indicates the possibility of severe weather over the next few days that could affect the public. Following light rain and thunderstorm, the air pollution level in the national capital settled in the 'Moderate' category on Sunday.The Air Quality Index was docking at 152 at 8:00 am in the morning. A cold wave continues to grip most parts of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday with Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti recording the lowest temperature at minus 8.6 degrees Celsius.
Chilly winds blow over Delhi-NCR

"The maximum temperature was recorded at 22.8 degrees Celsius, four notches below the normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 12 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal," they said. The humidity levels oscillated between 93 and 50 per cent. The weatherman has predicted a clear day on Wednesday with the possibility of shallow fog in the morning hours in some areas.
