Wind energy solutions provider Inox Wind on Tuesday said the company and its arm Inox Green Energy Services have paid debts of Rs 411 crore. Inox Wind Ltd and its subsidiary Inox Green Energy Services Ltd, as part of the strategic initiative to deleverage their respective balance sheets, have recently paid Rs 250 crore and Rs 161 crore (aggregating to Rs. 411 crore) towards reducing their debt, an exchange filing said. Consequently, the corporate guarantees given by Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd have also got reduced to that extent. Both the companies are in the process of further reducing their debt in due course, it added. A wind turbine taller than the world's tallest Statue of Unity with blades spanning wider than the wingspan of a jumbo jet has been installed at Mundra in Gujarat by Adani New Industries Ltd as part of its renewable energy expansion plans. "Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL) on Thursday announced the installation of country's largest Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) in Mundra, Gujarat," a company statement said. The turbine has been installed by Mundra Windtech Ltd (MWL), a wholly-owned subsidiary incorporated by Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL). Renewable energy solution provider Suzlon Energy on Tuesday said that it has won an order to set up 180.6 MW wind energy project from Sembcorp's arm Green Infra Wind Energy Ltd. "Suzlon Group, India's largest renewable energy solutions provider, today announced a new order win for the development of a 180.6 MW wind power project for Sembcorp's renewables subsidiary Green Infra Wind Energy Limited," a BSE filing said. Suzlon will install 86 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each. The project is located at Kanakagiribad, Bagalkot in Karnataka, and is expected to be commissioned in 2024. Suzlon will supply the wind turbines (equipment supply) and execute the project, including erection and commissioning. Suzlon will also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services after commissioning of the project. This order is part of the bid won under the SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) tranche XI auctions
