Payoneer, a online payments company, today entered this region, with an aim to become the preferred business partner for entrepreneurs and freelancers.
With its highly developed textile industry, coupled with small businesses from IT and Engineering and auto components, trying to expand and venture into the global market, the company is focusing on this segment, Payoneer India Country Manager Rohit Kulkarni told reporters here.
The business community here was no longer doing business the traditional way and were upping their reach, expanding their channels of income and looking for cost effective ways to conduct cross-border business, he said.
Identifying this tectonic shift from the community, the company wanted to emerge as the preferred business partner to the local business community and support them in expanding their services globally, Kulkarni said.
Declining to divulge details of the finances of the company, he said the firm is operating from over 200 countries and 150 currencies, adding, the company is a preferred payment provider for over 30 lakh small businesses.
