Churu had recorded a day temperature of 42.3 degrees Celsius yesterday.

While SriGanganagar recorded 42.8 degrees Celsius, Bikaner, Barmer, Jaipur and Jaisalmer recorded highs of 40.5, 40, 39.8 and 39.5 degrees Celsius respectively, the Met department said.

Other places registered day temperatures between 37.4 degree Celsius and 39.3 degrees Celsius.

The Met department has forecast weather to remain mainly dry in parts of the state during the next 48 hours.
