| The National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) is in advanced stages of discussions with the state governments of Maharashtra, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Tripura to implement the Accreditation Standard for Quality School Governance. Director of NABET(an autonomous body under Quality Council of India), Vipin Sahni, said in Chandigarh that 9 schools had got the accreditation and 50 were in the pipeline across India. He said the accreditation was valid for four years, subject to revision, and there would be consistent monitoring of services provided by the schools over the period. He added that depending upon the strength of the school, an accreditation fee of maximum of Rs 50,000 would be charged from a school. |
