A film, finally, on Begum Akhtar

Apni atariya pe aja re sawariya, dekha dekhi tanik ho jaye... sang Begum Akhtar, at the Indo-Pak border before the 1971 war. Such was her popularity that two loudspeakers were aimed at listeners across the border who joined their Indian counterparts to experience the magic of Akhtari
