Aegon Religare launches Health Plan

Aegon Religare Life Insurance Company on Tuesday launched Aegon Religare Health Plan, a fixed benefit health insurance plan, in Hyderabad. This would offer coverage for all surgeries and cashless facility in about 3,000 hospitals.
Yateesh Srivastava, chief marketing officer, said the company planned to invest Rs 360 crore during this fiscal to take the total investment to Rs 1,020 crore, including the Rs 660-crore it invested since it started its operations two years ago. The company last year earned Rs 166 crore from the premiums.
It was looking to sell 150,000 policies through the new product, he said. The average premium for the product is Rs 1,000 for a cover of Rs 100,000 per person. The least package one could have is Rs 490,000.
