Allahabad Bank net up 1.67%

Allahabad Bank reported 1.67 per cent rise in net profit of Rs 168.34 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 compared with Rs 165.57 crore in the year-ago period.

Total income grew 9.51 per cent to Rs 1,063.93 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 from Rs 971.50 crore in the same period last fiscal, the bank informed the BSE.

The bank's share price was down 1.69 per cent to Rs 87.45 on Monday.
