Asian Paints posts 17% rise in net at Rs 257 cr

Asian Paints has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 257 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011, up 16.81% from Rs 220 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The company's total income has increased from Rs 2,119 crore in the period year ago to Rs 2,583 crore for the quarter under review.

Asian Paints' shares were trading at Rs 2,722.25 on the BSE, 0.22% lower than the previos day's close at the end of trading hours on Friday.
