Bell Ceramics targets Rs 200 cr turnover

Baroda-based Bell Ceramics Limited, a floor and wall tile manufacturing firm, expects a turnover of Rs 200 crore this fiscal. Over the last five years, it achieved a growth of over 15 per cent per annum, staying ahead of the industry growth rate of 14 per cent per annum.
Speaking to Business Standard on the eve of opening of its depot in Mysore, Bell's chief executive office K M Pai said Karnataka had been one of its best markets. Its present sales was about Rs 50 crore.
With the realty market booming in Mysore and building activities getting a big push, the company expects the demand to rise to 1,000 square metres. The increased turnover and demand from local dealers had prompted Bell to open its 29th depot here.
Consumers and dealers of the four districts can buy their requirement without any waiting period and at competitive rates, he said.
According to regional sales manager Krishna Raju, Bell's depot networks are backed by ERP software system, MfgPro of Qad.
The latter links the 29 depots with the two state-of-the-art plants and the corporate office in Baroda and helps in the seamless tracking of production, distribution and stocks of different products across the country. It helps make available every product to each dealer with minimum lead time.
It has also launched the high hardness and abrasion resistant group-V non-skid floor tiles for heavy traffic areas. The company's production stood at 37,000 square metres currently, Pai said.
