Cadila, Nirma university in academic link-up

The Ahemdabad-based Cadila Pharmaceuticals in collaboration with Nirma University has started a link-up programme leading to "advance management certificate" for its staff and executive cadre employees who have not undergone specialisation after graduation.

"This is for the first time in the country that a university taking its classroom to the premises of a business organisation," said Anup Singh, director, Institute of Management, Nirma University.

He said the year-long programme of advance management course is tailor-made for Cadila considering the employees potential and growth needs.

"An elaborate course content has been worked out for the programme after many rounds of discussions with the orginsation and the faculty of the university'', he added.

"The curriculum should help the Cadila employees in understanding the business and socio-economic environment, relating strategy with day to day management tasks, integrating functions, managing financial resources effectively and ultimately emerge as effective managers," said I A Modi, chairman, Cadila Pharma while dedicating the link-up programme to his employees.
