Deccan Chronicle Holdings to merge subsidiaries

Media firm Deccan Chronicle Holdings today said it will merge its three wholly-owned subsidiaries with itself.

The company's board of directors at its meeting held today has approved a scheme of amalgamation of its wholly owned subsidiaries -- Asianage Holdings, Deccan Chronicle Bangalore, and Sieger Solutions -- with itself, Deccan Chronicle Holdings said in a filing to the National Stock Exchange.

The appointed date of the amalgamation is April 1, 2009 and the scheme is subject to the sanction of High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad.
