Germany-based Freudenberg, a part of EagleBurgmann KE Pvt Ltd, has announced its plans to start production of non-metallic expansion joints through setting up a Rs 6-crore facility in Chennai, which is expected to begin operations from the fourth quarter of the current fiscal."With this, our companies in India have yet again made an important contribution to the overall success of group," said Jorg Matthias Grobmann, the groups regional representative-India and CFO of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities. The significance of India as a strategic growth market has led the company to open a new regional corporate centre in Bangalore, which will support the continued development of Freudenberg's companies in India.
The Rs 43,655-crore EagleBurmann KE Pvt Ltd is expanding its competence, product range and services by investing in new technology to manufacture steel frames for non-metalic expansion joints and metal bellows.
The company employs around 60 associates in Chennai.
