Godavari Fertilisers Q3 net up 140%

The Hyderabad-based Godavari Fertilisers' net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2004, rose 140 per cent to Rs 4.6 crore compared with Rs 1.91 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.

Net sales and operating revenue (including government subsidies) stood at Rs 336.3 crore (Rs 224.4 crore). The profit before tax during the period stood at Rs 9.37 crore (Rs 2.98 crore).

The tax payable include deferred tax of Rs 4.6 crore in addition to the current tax of Rs 85.4 lakh. For the nine months, net sales rose by 46 per cent.
