Kent Ro to open 200 exclusive stores

Water purifier maker Kent Ro today said it plans to strengthen its retail presence across the country by opening 200 exclusive stores in the next one year.
The company, which recently opened its first exclusive store 'Kent Shoppe' for selling its products here, said it has entered into the retail space through the franchisee route and will invest around Rs 14 crore on it.
"We needed exclusive stores where we can educate about our products as well. In the next six months to one year, we plan to open around 200 stores across the country," Kent Ro Chairman Mahesh Gupta told PTI.
The company has been selling their products in around 6,000 multi-brand and large format stores across the country. It currently has two exclusive stores and plans to open 30 more in the next two months, particularly in North India.
"The stores would be franchisee owned and we usually spend around Rs 6-7 lakh in the interiors," he said.
Gupta said the company is witnessing a sales growth of 40 per cent and expects to achieve around Rs 230 crore by the end of this fiscal. Last fiscal, it had sales of Rs 170 crore.
