Keynote launches ESOP consulting division

Keynote Corporate Services Limited, a leading investment bank, has announced the launch of its dedicated ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) consulting division. The new division, to be led by M J Cherian, vice-president, Keynote, will work exclusively on ESOP mandates.

Announcing this to mediapersons, Cherian said, "ESOP has become an integral part of the compensation packages in many companies, with pay packages being linked to performance. There are a lot of complex issues that arise starting from defining the objective of the scheme, compensation policies and pricing of these options to accounting issues around dilution and vesting terms of the options."

Right pricing, right communication and setting the right expectations for ESOP is important and the division can help provide a thoughtfully designed ESOP, he added.
