L&T's Uppal said to quit, may join Cairn India

Ravi Uppal, president of the power division at Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Asia’s largest construction company by market value, is leaving the firm, said two people with knowledge of the matter.

Uppal may join Cairn India Ltd, operator of the biggest Indian onshore oilfield, one of the people said asking not to be identified before a public announcement. Deepak Morada, spokesman at Larsen & Toubro declined to comment. Uppal didn’t answer three calls made to his mobile phone and didn’t respond to two text messages.
