NY Film Academy workshop in October

Bangalore-based film production house Yellow Submarine Film, an authorised India agent for the New York Film Academy, expects 8-10 students from Hyderabad for the latter’s film-making and acting in film workshop to be held in New Delhi in October this year.
“Hyderabad is the second largest film-making centre and hence we hope to have a huge participation from here. In all, we expect to have 50 students for the film-making programme and 50 for acting from across the country,” Suniti Ghoshal, director, Yellow Submarine, told mediapersons here on Wednesday.
The four-week course involves hands-on training with HD and 16mm cameras. A group of 4-6 students will be assigned a camera and each student has to direct three films.
All films were to be edited by students using Final Cut Pro software, she said adding, the academy’s first workshop held in Mumbai in May this year had seen the participation of Bollywood actors like Imran Khan, Mimoh Chakraborty and Tanushree Dutta. Fee for the four-week course is Rs 1.85 lakh.
