OfficeMax appoints Ravi Saligram President & CEO

Indian-origin Ravi Saligram has been named the President and Chief Executive Officer of OfficeMax Inc, one of the largest office supply chains in the US.

Saligram, who will also serve as Director in the company, replaces Sam Duncan. He will take charge from November 8, 2010.

A Bangalore University alumnus, Ravi Saligram was previously working as President of Aramark International.

"Over the past five years under Duncan's leadership, OfficeMax has completed a successful turnaround and strengthened its business. I look forward to partnering with the management team to evolve the company to the next level through innovation," Saligram said.
