Subir Raha resigns from Ashok Leyland board

Hinduja Group company Ashok Leyland today said its Non-Executive Director Subir Raha has resigned from the company board.     

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange Ashok Leyland said that Subir Raha has ceased to be a director on the board of the company, consequent to his resignation.     

However, the company did not give reasons for Raha's exit.     

Last year Raha had joined as an executive vice-chairman on the Hinduja group board, pursuant to which he was appointed as the non-executive director on the board of Ashok Leyland.     

As a vice-chairman of Hinduja Group India Ltd (HGIL) and chairman of Hinduja National Power Company Ltd, Raha was engaged in directing the company towards organic and inorganic expansion.     

 

Before joining the Hinduja group he had served as chairman of ONGC and its group companies.     

Shares of Ashok Leyland closed at Rs 31.65, down 1.71 per cent on the BSE.
