| Thomas Cook net profit up 33 per cent |
| Travel service provider Thomas Cook (TCIL) posted a net profit increase of 33 per cent at Rs 7.3 crore for the first quarter ended March 31, 2007, as against Rs 5.5 crore for the corresponding period last year. |
| Mico bottom line rises 59% |
| Motor Industries Company (Mico), a manufacturer of diesel injection systems and spark plugs, posted a 59 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 183.80 crore for the first quarter ended March 31, 2007, compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Mico attributed the rise in net profit to the boom in major user industries such as commercial vehicles and tractors. |
| SKF net rises by 62% to Rs 36 crore |
| India's leading auto component player, SKF India, has posted a net profit increase of 62.78 per cent at Rs 36.66 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007, compared with Rs 22.52 crore recorded during the same period in FY06. SKF's total income during the reporting quarter rose to Rs 361.47 crore, an increase of 21.24 per cent from Rs 298.12 crore recorded during the same period a year ago, SKF said in a release today. |
