Titan Lifts Hosur Lockout

Titan Industries Ltd has signed a new wage agreement with its employees on April 18 and has lifted the partial lockout at its Hosur plant, effective today.

The duration of the settlement is for two years and 10 months. Two separate agreements were signed for the watches and jewellery divisions.

About 1,700 employees were affected by the lockout. The employees had submitted a 14-day strike notice on 31 January 2003.
