UTV Software FY11 net rises two-fold to Rs 135.4 cr

Media firm UTV Software Communications Ltd today reported over two-fold increase in its consolidated net profit for the year ended March 31, 2011, at Rs 135.47 crore.

For the 12 months ended March 31, 2010, the company's net profit was Rs 53.33 crore.

Its sales for the year ended March 31, 2011, increase 39.97% to Rs 929.50 crore from Rs 664.05 crore in the previous  fiscal, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The firm's scrips closed at Rs 642.90 per share, up 2.16% compared to the previous close on the BSE.
